HELLO AND WELCOMe

TO

WATTLE & THISTLE.

I’m Laura also known to some as Ariel (She/Her), welcome to Wattle & Thistle. I started working away on W&T in mid 2020, while this is not my full time gig I am hoping it will be one day but in the meantime I am excited to see where this journey takes me.

When I am not at my day job you can find me designing away on my laptop/ tablet or on a roller derby track. Art and design is a huge part of my life and always has been, I have been described by friends and family as an absolute design nerd. I am known for getting way to handsy with beautiful stock and letterpress as well as getting far too excited about good fonts.

I have been a lover of all things letterpress and stationery since college and it is the thing that has stuck with me the most. When myself and a few of my friends got engaged around the same time I was put to work, in doing so I found an absolute passion for event/ wedding stationery. After a lot of thought and some gentle encouragement from my fiancé I decided to turn it into a small business.

I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and I pride myself on inclusivity, it is such an important part of Wattle and Thistle that everyone feels comfortable to be themselves. I hope I can make your journey as easy and stress free as possible as we work together to create the stationery of your dreams.

I can’t wait to work with you!

-Laura
